What is covered in Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2?

- Recognizing and assessing potential hazards.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Dealing with unconscious casualties.
- Wounds, bleeding, and shock.
- Fractures, sprains and strains.
- Choking.
- Minor injuries and burns.
- Medical conditions and first aid.
- Recording and reporting incidents.
The Level 2 first aid course is taught through a combination of theory, practical demonstrations, and
hands-on practice to ensure learners can respond to workplace emergencies effectively.
How long does First Aid Level 2 take?
To achieve a Level 2 First Aid certificate, learners should expect to undertake 8 hours of learning
over the course of a day, excluding breaks.

For those who wish to build on their first aid skills or who work in a high-risk environment, we offer
HABC Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work.
If you have a defibrillator in your workplace, we recommend HABC Level 2 Basic Life Support
Certification and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.
