Personal Licence Course
About the Personal Licence course:
The Personal Licence course, which is better known as the APLH or to give it, it’s full title the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders Qualification (APLH), is one of requirements to attain a personal licence. The course is designed to ensure that anyone involved in the sale or supply of alcohol is aware of their responsibilities under the 2003 Licensing Act and provides them with the ability to understand and implement the requirements of the Act.
Under the 2003 act, anyone involved in the sale or supply of alcohol must retail the alcohol in a safe and responsible manner and conduct these sales whilst promoting the 4 licensing objectives contained within the act (5 licensing objectives in Scotland). The licensing objectives are: The protection of children, the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety and the prevention of public nuisance.
The APLH course will provide you with the relevant training and accreditation required to make a personal licence application to your local licensing authority. On completion of the training course, you will be awarded the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders which is accredited by either the BIIAB (The British Institute of Innkeepers Awarding Body) or HABC (Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance).
Innpacked are specialist Personal Licence training course providers and we operate our public APLH courses every week day throughout the UK at over 50 venues. We also offer a range of alternative options on how you take the course, including e-learning and 1 to 1 at your venue.
